Unity Ceremonies & Ideas

Unity ceremonies can add something a little different to your celebration. There are many traditional and contemporary symbolic actions that we can weave in, such as a tree planting, a candle lighting or sand ceremony. I’ll suggest some ideas for these based on what you’ve shared with me. There are many to choose from and it may be that you already have thoughts of what you’d like. Unity ceremonies are not just for couples. They can be woven into any ceremony. 

 

You might want to welcome a new baby into the family and symbolise this by lighting a candle or inviting friends and family to make or dedicate an object, create a special wish message or even write a poem. These can then be kept in your home as a regular reminder of your unity.

It may be important to you to include cultural or religious rituals associated with your upbringing, faith or heritage. We can work together to make sure that these and other symbolic actions form a part of your ceremony.
