Naming Ceremony Celebrant

The arrival of a child into your family is a life-changing and wonderful time. A naming ceremony is a special way to celebrate this. It differs from a traditional christening as its main focus is not religion, but rather your child, family and friends.

 

There is no set script and no fixed structure. Instead I will chat with you about what the arrival of your child has meant for you, including any personal anecdotes you’d like to include.

 

Once I have a good idea of how you would like to create your ceremony, I will work closely with you to design a ceremony that is a true reflection of you and your family. A central part of this will be giving your child their name in front of your guests and introducing the mentors, godparents or guide parents you have chosen to support you and your child in the future. You may also have special roles for other important people such as grandparents.

 

Every naming ceremony is unique and tailored around your family's needs and can include significant symbolic actions.
